Department of Management

Işık, with over 122 years of education experience behind it, aims to train capable individuals in the modern managerial-organizational disciplines about the international business climate. We recognize that today's solutions to business and economics are global. Our aim is to train capable, forward-looking individuals who are able to turn theory into practice.

The approach at Işık is multi-disciplinary, a synthesis of disciplines that emphasizes the global nature of today's business world. Two different programs, Management and International Trade, were designed for the students on the direction of today's changing world.

The Curriculums are based on a platform of courses such as Administrative Sciences, Basic Economics, Mathematics, Behavioral Sciences and International Relations. Students also take contemporary classes in administrative theories, production management, strategic marketing, advertising, management information systems and finance. All are, of course, closely related to what is happening today in the business and management world.

Our faculty made a principle and a matter of pride to equip students with the relevant information and skills they need to match the changing global circumstances. The objective is to educate students in a fashion that will enable them to develop the most productive systems and solutions to the problems presented in the new century. Our students are taught the most efficient methods and means of reaching the global markets, and how to cater better to the needs and wishes of human beings.

When our students graduate they will have the relevant skills and proficiency to work at managerial levels in marketing, finance and human resources departments in companies of every scale, in any sector, anywhere in the world. This is because our classes are enriched with real life business case studies. Işık encourages their active participation in an educational process where the enterprise spirit and contemporary work ethics are the basic concepts.
